Help To Make A Difference For The Disabled

We Keep It Fresh: Growing Together, Building Communities

Dear Supporters,

We are excited to introduce you to We Keep It Fresh, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering growth, education, and inclusivity in the Gulf Coast Area of Mississippi. Our mission is to nurture the community through education, support, and outreach initiatives that encourage farming, food growth, and accessibility for people with disabilities.

Why We Keep It Fresh Matters

In Mississippi, 18.1% of the population lives with a disability. We believe that disability should never limit one’s quality of life. It impacts not just individuals but entire families. Through our extensive research and interactions, we have identified crucial needs. Education resources, professional trust in the paraprofessional field, consistent access to resources, and emotional support are paramount.

We are here to bridge the gap.

Our Vision: A Garden of Inclusion

We are excited to announce a groundbreaking project: the We Keep It Fresh Gardening Center. This center will be a haven for people with disabilities, where they can actively participate in gardening activities and sessions. The produce grown will not only empower our participants but also nourish their families. We believe in long-term sustainability, ensuring families are informed about the availability of fresh, healthy vegetables.

How Your Support Will Make a Difference

We have outlined a comprehensive plan in three phases:

Phase 1: Searching and Acquiring Land

Our first step is to find a suitable plot of land, ensuring it is fertile, accessible, and ready for cultivation. We need your support to secure this land and prepare it for the transformative journey ahead.

Phase 2: Activity

Creating meaningful activities tailored to individual needs is at the heart of our mission. Your contributions will help us design safe, engaging, and enjoyable activities. Together, we can foster a sense of belonging and accomplishment among participants.

Phase 3: Informative

Education is empowerment. We aim to not only grow plants but also grow minds. Your support will facilitate informative sessions where participants and their families can learn about various resources available to them. We will ensure ongoing support, with follow-ups to guarantee satisfaction, and provide a space for communal activities and food.

Join Our Journey

We invite you to join us on this incredible journey of growth, empowerment, and community building. Your support will create lasting change, enabling individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives, fostering a more inclusive society.

How You Can Contribute:

  • Donate: Your financial support will directly fund the acquisition of land, activities, and informative sessions.
  • Volunteer: Join us in creating a nurturing environment. Your time and skills can make a significant impact.
  • Spread the Word: Share our mission with your friends, family, and colleagues. Together, we can amplify our reach and support.

Together, we can make a difference. Let’s sow the seeds of change and cultivate a future where everyone thrives.

Warm regards,
